WINTER STORM POLICY
While we will do everything possible not to cancel Sunday worship services, there may be situations where it is best to do so. In the event that services are canceled, we will alert you as soon as the decision is made [between 7:30-8:00 AM on Sunday at the latest]
On those Sundays when there is snow on the ground but worship is not canceled members are encouraged to use their own discretion as to whether they can or should be attending worship that Sunday. If things take place during the week and the Nottawa Community School is closed do to weather, then the church will also be closed on that day and all events will be canceled.
Thank you Nottawa United Methodist Church

WELCOME GREETINGSThank you for visiting our web site.
By navigating this site in the usual way you will find things that will tell you the story of The Nottawa United Methodist Church and The United Methodist.
Let me share a little about the church and myself. If you go to the History you will find the early beginnings of this congregation and what they did. They started way back in 1852 or 1853. So check it out.
My name is Alexander Richard Miller to many I am Sandy or Sam. I grew up in Detroit, Grand Rapids and Nottawa. I graduated from Nottawa Community School and then went to Centreville High School and then to Glenn Oakes Community College and graduated from there. I have been in Nottawa since 1960.
Here I met a gal named Cathy. The thing is I never dreamed that one day we would be together. All these years of friendship and doing things together made it possible for us to finally get married.
Many things have taken place in my life over the years. Including the year I died and went to Heaven and came back. God had a plan for me and three years latter I was in charge of the Nottawa church. The years have gone by and I am still there. The fun I have doing this job has given me many rewards that I have encountered. God had a plan and I took the challenge. The people here are unique and so are the Pastors I have worked with. Each person I serve they have their own set of concerns and desires for this church and their Christian lives. The challenge of understanding their ways and the obstacles they face day by day is a goal that I must take to see that they are fed the word of God and that they are cared for in all their needs. So I must keep my head in the game and make it fun and enjoyable. Each person is different and are striving to be better in all they do in life. Now the job is for me to help them along life's road of accomplishing that, In the last few years I have made a promise to God that if he would heal me and do a miracle for me when I was down and sick, I would take his word to the people and would do anything he wanted me to do. So God did heal me several times. Now I must do what I have said I would do. The challenge is there and much more lies ahead for me and this church. I have seen people come and go and are willing to do Gods work.
Are you ready to be apart of a group who is living for Christ? Come and see what we can do. Together we will grow in faith as we serve Jesus Christ. As I serve here and proclaim that we are here for all who need Jesus Christ, we want to invite you to come and worship with us.
So I want you to look around this site and know that God is present in all that we do here and he keeps on challenging not only me but you too. Hope you are blessed at what you see and read. I want you to know this God loves you and so do I
